Part of Headway UK – The Brain Injury Association
We can help you come to terms with your injury, by connecting with others who may have, or still be, going through similar experiences. We know each injury is as individual as the person who survived it, and we can help with some of those issues. Maybe you are a carer or family member and need to understand too, we can help!
Being a part of Headway is like being with a special family, we all understand those moments when we need to walk away or stay quiet. We are a peer support group, everyone within it has a connection to Acquired Brain Injury, either directly, or through a loved one. Come along and join us, we are here to listen
The Focus Centre in Galashiels has amazing facilities for us to use, a spacious separate room to block out the noise and keep the group private, a cafe area, a sports hall and even an IT suite for those who want to stay connected, or maybe relearn some skills.
When do we meet?
Every First and Third Tuesday of the month, we meet between 11am and 3pm. Between those times you can come and go, with no pressure on your own time, or expectations on you.
It is up to you how often you come, it is up to you how long you stay. We just want to be there if you need us.
The Focus Centre
Our phone is manned by volunteers and is not always answerable. Please leave a message for us to return your call. It is important to us.
